Video Producer

Job Description

JOSA, a Jordanian social enterprise dedicated to promoting open source technologies in Jordan, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Video Producer.

The Video Producer will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content that supports JOSA’s mission and communicates technology-related concepts to our community. This includes, creating short technical videos, documentation of events/activities, and other video content, supporting social media campaigns, and ensuring visual consistency across all platforms.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various formats and platforms, including social media, events, campaigns, and reports.
• Create engaging multimedia tech content such as short videos, interviews, explainers, and promotional clips aligned with JOSA’s brand and messaging.
• Collaborate with the team to generate storyboards and scripts that translate JOSA’s work and tech concepts into compelling visual narratives.
• Ensure all video content adheres to quality, branding, and accessibility standards.
• Support media campaigns and public engagement efforts through high-impact video storytelling.
• Assist in live streaming and technical setup for events and workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Passionate about JOSA’s mission and (open source) technology.
• Proficiency in video production, including shooting, lighting, sound, and editing.
• Experience with video editing software.
• Strong eye for visual composition, storytelling, and attention to detail.
• Skills or previous experience in research, storytelling, and script writing are not required but highly preferred.
• Prior experience in civil society, tech, or educational contexts is an advantage.

REPORTING

The Video Producer reports to the Communications Officer.
